How many homes have you decorated and where?

We have decorated hundreds of homes throughout the Chicagoland area, including McHenry, Crystal Lake, Inverness, Barrington, Vernon Hills, Palatine, St Charles, Richmond, Gurnee, and Chicago!

How many years have you been decorating and installing Christmas lights?

Christmas Décor by Arvidson has been decorating homes throughout the Chicago area since 2010.

Do you carry liability insurance, specifically designed for Christmas decorating?

Christmas Decor by Arvidson installers are trained, insured professionals.

How much does installation and take-down cost?

Each installation is customized to the property—so the customer can invest as much—or as little—as they want! Each proposal is presented with a number of options. We will help you build your decorating package over time!

Do we rent the decor, lease it, or do we own it?

All decor is included in the service package. With Christmas Decor by Arvidson as your partner, you’ll never own old, worn-out decor again! With our program, decor is automatically replaced when it needs to be – and you will have the flexibility to change colors upon renewal!

Does it cost to store our lights?

No. A Christmas Decor by Arvidson program is all-inclusive—one price for everything.

Is there a labor warranty in case there’s a problem, or the lights stop working?

With Christmas Decor by Arvidson, maintenance is included in the price. We also conduct proactive service visits throughout the holiday season to make sure your program looks like it did the day we installed it.

Is there a difference between the lights you use and the ones I can buy locally?

Absolutely! Our decor is manufactured to our specifications—longer-life LED bulbs and extra fullness on all of our greenery. We also feature UL-rated, outdoor extension cords, a variety of property-friendly installation accessories and commercial-grade specialty décor. You won’t find better quality anywhere! You’ll notice the difference in size, brightness, durability and energy efficiency!

Will you install the lights we already own?

No, we cannot warranty the quality or workmanship of lights we do not provide.

Do we need to hire an electrician?

In most cases, no. Larger installations may require additional power sources, but this is a rare occurrence.

Do we need to be home during installation?

Not for exterior installations. Our trained installation crews are efficient “elves”, and can complete an installation whether you are there or not.

Who do we contact for service in case there’s a problem?

You will be provided with contact information for a service representative. We also provide proactive service calls during the season.

How far in advance should we contact you to schedule?

Contact us as early as possible! The decorating season is short, and our schedules tend to fill up by early to mid-November.

Can we decide when you take down the decorations?

Yes. A Cristmas Decor representative will work with you to schedule a takedown appointment that is convenient for you.
